Thank you Ace's Angels!

Your prayers worked people! ACE MADE IT THRU!!!! He is recovering and will soon be transported to his foster home in Rochester. He will be sleeping soundly in Walters miracle recovery crib!
That is the adorable Boo sitting by the crib, waiting for his new foster brother to come home!

Can you believe it was just 3+ months ago that it was Walter in this crib? These portable cribs are great transition beds, they fold up and can be taken outdoors. We actually bought two for Walter (one for gramma's house, one for mine) and we're donating them to MN Pug Rescue, so after Ace is done with his beddie-bye, they'll be ready for any other pugglins in need. I'm thinking we should put together a portable pug trauma kit! We could send it anywhere in the world! (Now I'm picturing a pug trauma RV...THE PUGULANCE!)

Thank you to the amazing vets at South Hyland Pet Hospital. Ace's vet proceeded with his surgeries not knowing if funding was in place. We're still scrambling to cover all the bills, if you can help our little Ace, every dollar helps. After his surgery there will be rehab, like Walter's so the bills will keep coming.

Not only that but the vet actually took Ace home with her to care for him. Bless the vet, bless her, bless her and bless all of you for your prayers and white light.

GO ACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Heather & Wally! Hooray for Ace! I knew all the good vibes would get him through the surgery.

Walter is the poster pug for miracles and now he will have to share the spotlight with Ace. How wonderful to have 2 miracles this year.

The portable pug trama kit is genious! It could probably be used for all dogs that are pug sized, but hopefully no pugs will need it for the rest of the year.

The pugulance is a great idea too. We need to be prepared for anything that happens to our puggies.

YAY ACE!!!!!!!!!!!

I specifically prayed for his vet yesterday- that he or she would be competent and make the best decisions on his behalf! Looks like I had nothing to worry about!

The pug trauma kit is genius! I suspect yogurt treats could be a #1 necessity! :)

I love you guys and love seeing you pass on your supplies, your wisdom, and your support to those who are following the hard path you had to take. If there is one positive that comes from tragedy like Wally's accident, it's the chance to help those who are battling a similar situation. Ace is learning from the BEST super-pug and his momma!!

Thanks for helping spread the word about Ace's progress. We're really glad you guys are "pawing it forward". It's (devastatingly)sad that Walter had to get hurt, but amazing that it can be turned to good.
Mom says anytime Walter and his posse are in town, you can count on some roast beast. But ya gotta be fast, that stuff goes quick!!

OMG! Look at the cute baby!! I'd be glad to adopt him. Maybe Walter can drop him by on his Great American Road Trip.

We're so happy to hear he made it through surgery AND that he's going to stay with Boo Bear! We just know that the healing crib and Boo will do wonders for his recovery!

Love the pugulance! Your donation to the pug rescue is just one more wonderful thing to come from such a traumatic experience. You and Wally are the best!

I'm happy to hear the great news about Ace! And I'm glad Walter is healing so well that he doesn't need his crib! Although my Mommy still uses a Pack and Play for me. She's found it useful to keep me in at places we go that don't want me running around. What's up with that?! I love the Pug Trauma Kit idea too! One necessity for that is COMBOS! When it comes to meds, my sister and I have figured everything out (even marshmallows). But Mommy uses a pill cutter to make the pills small enough to fit inside a combo. The cheese masks the smell and adheres to the pill(and tastes yummy!). And since the outside is crunchy, I can't tell the difference between the cracker crunch or the pill crunch. I LOVE taking meds now!

So was this the same vet that did Wally's surgery? What a dedicated woman she is, taking a patient home to keep an extra close on on him! Sounds like Ace is getting a second chance in life in so many ways. What a lucky boy!
