Happy Valentines Day!

Happy VD Day everybody's! We are settling into our new place...our car problems threw a monkey wrench in getting to the place we thought we were going in time...and whoah, was momma worried about figuring out housing, but then we found a new place with an awesome balcony! We still need to set up a play date with Eric and Louie! (hi Eric! Hi Louie!!) But really our new digs rock. Walter is wearing the purple heart sticker on his head, which the coffee place lady gave him. Everyone here is super sweet to walter and nobody can believe we drove from minnesota through all this snow to get here...but here we are! one of the only freaking cities in the united states without snow! Walter's been thru so much, dang-nabbit - he deserves it. I can't get enough of watching him walk in his shoe, unencumbered by ice as he smells flowers and pees on other flowers simultaneously. We are almost up to pre-accident length walks now. Plus we sneak on the beach and put our toesies in the ocean!
Walter loooves our new balcony. Note leafy palms and American flag waving poetically in the background...
Walter likes to squash his face up to the balcony holes and barkity-bark at passersbys...
more soon!!!!

Hey Heather and Walter. You guys are official Floridians now. Woot woot! We love the balcony. It's almost like those holes were cut just for Walter. Who knows, maybe they were...

we had no idea how much Gen loved to run on the beach till we took a trip to Lake Michigan....we are so glad you guys made it safe and sound. The picture of your house reminds mom of her trip to Key West...we hope you are enjoying the snow-free livin'. Watch out for over-indulging in Margarita's though.

So glad you are all settled! We knew you'd make it and find a great place. You deserve it!! After the journey you and Wally have been on in the last year, this most recent trip must have just been a small speed bump! When is Wally getting his speedo?? Gotta have the proper attire to lay out on the beach!

Just be sure that balcony is pug-proof, please. I'm sure you have already done that but never hurts to check it once again. Glad you and Walter are getting settled in. I know you are enjoying the sunshine. Sure feels good doesn't it?

I'm so glad you and Walter made it! Spent a wonderful year in the keys almost 30 years ago and still want to move back. Enjoy every moment. Loved your books, I bought them after Walter's accident and can't wait to read the next. Love to you and Walter!

I'm glad you finally got there! And are getting settled in. It's nice to hear that Walter is liking his new digs! I can relate to the barking at people from the balcony. In the two weeks I had Rainy, she would put her paws up on the balcony ledge and bark at dogs being walked across the street, people walking by, anything that moved, apparently except the cars, trucks and buses (thankfully she didn't bark at them!). Florida did indeed have a little snow (there was one day last week that 49 of the 50 states had snow on the ground!), but it was in the panhandle. Enjoy the warmer weather!
