This is a BEFORE picture of the apartment...I have to take one with the rug runner I bought. It helps, it's a start, and I can buy the runners off rolls in any length I want, so he can have a trans-room highway of carpet tracks to trot on. Also - to answer a few of the shoe/boot/orthotics questions, for now we are getting his legs strong enough to wear a boot. He's up to 14 minutes in the water tank (he started at 2!) and they say he IS getting stronger, so in another 4 weeks, if his foot has not regained nerve function, he will be fitted for a little shoe.
For now He's back at Nana's house, and I am working. We're going on an afternoon stroll shortly though, and I will steal kisses.
UPDATE - we took a walk and had a little stroll around the back yard. I called Wally to come inside...and this is the look he gave me. I'm excited b/c This is the look he USED to give me when I called him inside. Brooding, indolent...stubborn...WALLY!

Wally looks so tiny in the picture! That sure is a lot of wood floor you have there! The runners are a great idea, but I have to say it's given me a funny mental picture of your apartment with them laying at every imaginable angle & all criss-crossed over one another!

We vote for the carpet runners of every color! We have them. They are inexpensive and easy to handle. It could turn into a race track! We love ,love to hear how Walter is impoving.

Mom's eye are too bad to see the "look"....but she said something about "those gorgeous wood floors". I think they'd be great for pug bowling! Not for you though, OK. And about the TP, she says "don't give anybody any more ideas", please.

There's no shame in having a home covered in runners! When Pearl had her recent bladder surgery, I covered our carpet in those little clear plastic baggies that they put over your dry-cleaning. Yep. Like 100 of them. The whole living room was one plastic pee-proof haven. The things we do to allow them some freedom!

That is a very funny look he is giving you. We are so pleased with Walter's recovery. He has come leaps and bounds for sure.
