This was one of wallys first pictures after he moved in with me. About June 2007. I had no idea what life with Walter would be like in this picture. How much I'd love him, How demanding he'd be, how okay with his demands I would become.
I had no idea in this picture that a year and a half later he'd be run over. If I'd known then what I know now, I prolly would have been too scared to take him on.
Maybe thats what life is filled with "surprises." We underestimate our strength, our abilities to cope and the miracles that will accompany the challenges...so we would never willingly walk thru these troubled doors...only beyond the trouble is something else. Something we need. I'm not sure what that is yet, but I'll keep you posted. ;)

Hi Walter/Heather!
I wanted to tell you that I went on vacation this weekend, so I have been following your blog via my iPhone. For whatever reason, Pearl and I could NOT figure out how to comment from my phone?!
Anyway, I am SO relieved that the surgery went well and I am willing to host the Poop Party anytime, any place! You remain in my prayers, constantly.
~Pearl/momma Kelly
Hope Walter has a good day today!
Hang in the you guys!

Its funny when I got Gus all I thought I was getting was a 7 month old unneutered pug to keep Indy company. Little did I know I was getting an abused, seperation anxiety ridden stubborn dog. If I had known all of what I would have to go through with Gus before I got him, I'd like to to think I would take him home anyways because the love he has shown me and shared with others has been incredible.
This is a bump in the road and before long Walter will be racing up to homeless people for hugs and kisses again. :)
We are thinking of you.
Hi Heather & Walter:
So glad to hear that Walter is doing better & so happy that he finally pooped!!! I agree a party is in order for that!!! My little puggy, FeeBee & I are keeping you & Walter in our thoughts & prayers. I find myself thinking about you both a lot & whenever I am doing something with FeeBee, I think how blessed we are that she's ok, but if anything happened to her, I would go to the wall for her like you are doing for Walter. Money can't compare to the love that they give us. I'd give all that I have to save her; she's like my child. Heather, you are a strong woman, that's why Walter is strong & tough, too - like his Momma. Just know that you have so many people thinking about you & praying for you & checking your blog everyday. I'll keep on praying for you both & just know that we send lots of puggy huggs & slobbery kisses. We love you both - Michelle Mong, Franklin, PA
Hi Heather and Walter
Its just me- Tweedles the pug. I have been asking questins too and looking for answers. Sometimes the only glimpse of an answer is of a reflection of what we see on face.
Sometimes it is all because of love.
I send my love to you and Walter
