22 smackers?

It makes me so happy to hear you guys are buying, reading and even enjoying my books! It makes it easier to pay down Walters emergency room bill AND all your comments are making me work twice as hard on my current novel. (due in mere weeks! First page of next book is actually printed on the LAST page of PLM)

So - What would you do with 22 million dollars? Its another choose your own adventure type book and on the first page you win the lottery. So, just curious, what WOULD you guys do with 22 million biscuits? Walter here would buy a full-time pug Geisha, a lot more stuffies and an unlimited supply of beef bones. He'd also pay off all mommas bills so she would stop abandoning him to work! Blech!

Oh wow, I would buy a house and that house would have a special room just for the doggies, kind of like scamper land. With window seats to the front yard and a big bed and all their toys. lol
It's so fun to dream!

My Mom is really enjoying your book about Jennifer Johnson she said it was very funny as well as a great story. She is on page 260 and will finish it tonight. We loved when the dog ate that thing YUCK hehehehhe. She also knows a real Jennifer Johnson. If I had 22 million I would probably do the same thing I do now - nap, play eat and get rubs except it would be on nicer sheets, more often and by a professional masseuse. I would also help the homeless doggies.

I think about this every day. I would pay for our wedding since we are struggling and hoping we can scrape by in 7 months. I would pay off my debt and we could buy a new house and sell our 800-something square foot one. I'd donate a ton to pugs... and fly and visit every pug blogger!

Pug Farm is awesome, and I wonder if it couldn't be a reality some day. A national safe zone, one "uber rescue" place that all pugs could go, have medical care, live in luxury etc etc...what a wonderful idea. Walter could be in charge of intake forms and greeting all pugs upon arrival personally! Every night there is chicken finger and margarita hour!

I'd travel around the world with my pug. Have like a flat stanley but real life pug thing going on...my pug in front of the pyramids, my pug running with the bulls.

SPEAKING OF WHICH!! PUG PEOPLE HELP!!!!! My pug has taken to peeing on my pillows while I am gone during the day. Last night I crawled into bed, put my head down...and yuck. Any ideas?

I'm afraid to answer! When I started reading PLM I died within the first 10 minutes or so. I eventually got better and led some very fulfilling lives.

But, 22 million?? Pay off everything I owe. Buy a house (probably a farm so I could keeps lots of rescued pugs, cats, etc. around). I would love to travel but I would hate to leave Harry.

Harry would own every stuffed monkey ever made. He would have staff dedicated to scratching his booty and giving him treats and he would let me "retire" so I could always be home with him.

Question about Wally. Does he pile all of his stuff up like that in Scamperland? It looks like he's pushed everything into one corner :-)

We have a very solid plan for when we win millions in the lotto and many pugs are part of that plan with a huge property outside of the city we live in, completely sustainable living and eco-friendly. Indoor pool, greenhouse to grow all the foods I cook for the girls, barn-turned-music centre for all of Jerry's instruments and lots of windows for pugs to lay in the sun. How could life not get any better?!!! I'm almost done Jennifer Johnson too and love it! Can't wait to start PLM!

Hmm... this is a good question. I would pay off all my loans and my brother & sister and mom's loans too, buy us all houses and cars... give money to charities and friends, open an animal shelter, and travel!!
Oh yeah, I am really enjoying both books. I read JJ every lunch hour, and PLM before bed. :) Can't wait for the next book already!

Hi Heather & Walter! I am probably the luckiest pug on the planet because I have everything I need - a loving Mom & Dad, lots to eat, a great place to sleep, lots of friends, etc. I really don't need the 22 smackers, but there are so many people (and pugs) that need it, so I would just give it to them.

I would have to give Mom a little money so that she could start sea turtle conservation projects around the world and maybe I could start recycling projects alongside her conservation projects.

Let's see here...

Practical things I would do with $22M:
Build dream house, buy a better car or 2, pay off my husband's law school loans, and give money to my friends and family, including my blogging friends!

Not-so-practical things I would do:
Rescue animals all day and all night! Bring them all to the Pug Farm that Salinger started.
Buy an inordinate amount of shoes.

Well first off Mom loved Jennifer Johnsons book and is actually starting PLM this week! Well we pugs would of course help other pugs out in rescue and Mom would quit her job so she can be a foster Mom to pugs! And buy a house (we really can't wait till Mom and Dad get us our own yard some day).

Mom note: I would save most of the money too because I am a cheap coupon clipping queen!

My answer might have been different several months ago... but after doing the blog thing & hearing so many stories - both good and bad... I'd have to start some sort of rescue/rehab shelter as one of my top priorities. I'd also move out to the country, get back into owning horses (heck, I'll rescue them too...) and just take photos of it all to my hearts content. I would make sure I did a little self-papmpering of course, including home spa with a personal masseuse/stylist and have the most fantastic collection of shoes & dog collars ever!!

Tweedles -- that's me said...

What would i do? Well, that much $$ would make it so my mama can be home with me in the day and not have to leave and go to workie. It would help so she does not have to work until she is 130 years old.
And then I would have someone come get the mold out of the back room where the celing leaks- then I would help Salinger with his animal farm, or start one right here- and every animal on the planet would have love and a forever home just like me

Well.....

22m? Well, the Pugs would first pay off mom and dad's bills so could both be home all the time. They would buy mom a beach house for lovely long summer months. They would pay off all human brother and sister's school loans. Buy dad and mom both new cars with Pug colored interiors. Remodel our little carriage house rental into a Pug Haven....and of course get more Puggy brothers and sisters...opps almost forgot....also organize a HUGE Pug Meetup so all the Pugs and families could meet!

This pug farm idea is really a hit. I can picture rolling green lawns where pugs rumble and run like little bumblebees all day! Clear streams of Evian, silk pillows on which to nap and all the human attention they could desire. We'd need a 2:1 ratio, two humans (staff members) for every pug!

hmmm 22 samkeroos? well, I guess I'd give Fuji 1 for some bones and arthritis care. Then, I'd pay off all Mom's loans so she could stasy home with me ALL DAY (and make quilts while I sleep)! Oh, and I would BUY the Greenies company and give free Greenies to all pugs forever. I'm down with the PUG FARM ideas too. Sign me up.
Love Gen

Walter does scoot all his toys in a pile and then sleeps on them. He likes to know where everybody is!

Imagine the pug pile at nap time on the Salinger Pug Ranch!

I haven't gotten my books in the mail yet, but they were shipped the other day - I'm so excited. It's funny, because way before I ever read your blog my husband and I used to lament over how the choose-your-own-adventure books were just for kids and how we'd love to read adult versions. Then when I found out your book was, in fact, exactly what we were talking about, I was so excited! And I'm so excited that you're doing another one! I plan on reading them with my hubby and seeing if we would choose the same paths. (Probably not).
22 mill? Hmmm....how many pugs could that feed.....

Hey Heather....the last post is MINE! I was logged in to my sister-in-laws account when I posted that comment. Hah! I'm terrible about that.....

But since I'm here again, I'd like to note that with the left overs from the 22 mill, Clementine would have nothing but the fanciest designer pug-clothes, and I would try to have a closet that kept up with her fashionista status.
