Dominate the tank and beat the tornado!

We had quite an adventure on the way to Twin Cities Animal Rehab today! It hammered rain and we got to the clinic at what looked like midnight, even though it was 1 pm. Walter dominated the water tank with 7 whole minutes of walking on the submerged treadmill.
Then Walter did the trampoline like a regular aerobics instructor (Just needs a Flashdance tank top) and had his toenails clipped before we headed home. When we got back on the highway (clinic is about half an hour from home) we thought the sky looked worse and it was raining hard. We decided to get off the highway so we could get something to eat and let it stop storming. Good thing too, There were tornado touchdowns all along the I-35 corridor, unbeknownst to us! We went through a fast food drive thru (horrible, but we wouldn't leave walter in the car. No way!) We all had chicken sandwiches and finally decided to take surface streets home (an hour!)

When we got home, alll the sirens were blaring and we found out a tornado had gone thru our neighborhood and were running up and down I-35! We missed it by getting chicken sammies!! Go wally! Saving the tall people again!!!

It was super scary in the TC today! I'm glad you and Wally are both safe. And I think a flashdance tank top for Wally is a spectacular idea.

I heard about the tornados on the news; I was watching more of the weather today than normal because we got a good storm rumbling through with warnings and watches, too. And of course I remembered that, wait, Walter and Heather are in Minnesota! Glad you checked in and you are all safe, and glad Walter "dominated the tank" at therapy!! Saving lives, bringing people together, holding tight to stuffies, eating treats... yep, all in a day's work for our little SuperPug!

Hi Heather & Walter! What a day you've had. You are rocking the therapy and that trampoline looks really cool. Mom loves Flashdance, so queue the music and get dancing!

I'm so glad you guys are back home safe and sound. It is storming here right now and and I'm getting ready to tuck myself in for the night.

Oh my dog! what a day! Thank goodness for Wally having his appt around that time and for the chickie sammies. Living on the west coast of Canada we don't experience tornadoes so we cant imagine what it is like. We do get the odd thunderstorm and Winston gets really barky and worked up over the loud booms. Thank goodness Wally and you are ok. Well..... it is now off to bed and reading a quick story from PLM. So far Winston has not picked wisely.... I don't want to spoil it for others so I will leave it at that. Tonight we are choosing to travel to India from England! GO Wally GO, keep working on getting stronger.

What a DAY, you guys! Being here in Oklahoma, I can totally relate to the tornado extravaganza. One missed my neighborhood by about 250-ft. in the spring! We are actually under watch right now...

Walter, I KNEW you'd rock it out at therapy. I bet they all just LOVE you there!

You guys take a breather today, and thank God for those chicken sandwiches!!

To those from other countries or parts of the US, We get a fair share of tornados here, but they usually crop up in wide open spaces and stay clear of downtown. Something to do with the heat of the city dissipates or affects the winds, anyway, this time was very strange because not only did the twisters hit heavily populated areas, they were cloaked in rain. Everyone here knows if the sky goes yellow and the wind stops along with the rain, you run inside. rain and tornados don't go together...which is why we didn't expect any on the rainy highway. Luck was with us though, and so was WALLY! so we were safe as houses.
