THANK YOU INDY BLOGGERS - AMAZING!

Indy Bloggers sent Walter and me the most AMAZING and sweet gift. An entire box of goodies! Walter was SO SO excited! He helped me open the box, and I tried to get pictures, but he was moving fast!

I haven't seen him so happy since he came home. He KNEW the box was for him! I set it down in the pen and as he nosed through things we opened them, and the cool stuff would not end! it was the best care package EVER. Walter stood up for the whole unveiling! Stood on all four feet and wagged his tail!

The care package had stuffed animals, marshmallows, rawhides, and chew toys for Walter, and Candles and hand lotion for me. There was a pug calendar and address book! It was the biggest box and it was packed with love. I have to admit, halfway thru I burst into (happy) tears. I was so touched...and Walter, he wanted to try everything! all the delicious snacks! and the toys!
He loved his Kentuckian bandana! He gave every toy the once over, licking them on the head, shaking them, the sheep got it good and the little tiny stuffed pug? He held it in his mouth on and off for hours like a baby. He LOVES it. Indy Bloggers, I am so astounded with the stuff you sent. The angel pin! The protection charm! The wet wipes - which we needed at that moment desperately! The calendar is now his central vet appointment calendar...we transferred the dates and we put the cards up on his supply station by his bed. You have touched us and we are beyond grateful. We are amazed and Walter is snuggled in bed on top of his new Healing Blanket with all his new loot. In all this it never occurred to me to go get him new toys and stuff. We've been buying pain medications and pee pads - today we got the funnest stuff ever!!! Indy Bloggers, we can never repay you for your amazing grace. Thank you - thank you - thank you. I can see now that we need to get a PUG MOBILE and load up to come meet all you extraordinary people and pugs. We have never met, but you are all family.

P.S. I forgot to mention it in the package, but the marshmallows are the perfect treat for hiding pills! Our pugs eat them up!

Pee Pee Pads from the pet store are over priced - if you have a sam's club membership they sell big underpads (that people use on beds) and they are more absxorbant and you can get a case of 120 for under $25.. - Just a thought :-)

Our dogs tend to lean toward cracker and cheese Combos. Ya know? Those little tube shaped things filled with reconstituted orange whey? Anyhoo....our brood would like to send you something. What is your address? I'm not a stalker. Unless you're secretly Gerard Butler, then I'm sorry.

MARSHMALLOWS! You sent me marshmallows and we, for the first time, got walter to take his pain pill without struggle. We had tried steak, chicken, liverwurst, pillpockets, cheese...everything, but he snapped up his pill no problem today! the marshmallows are genius!

That is so wonderful! Those Indy pug bloggers are a wonderful group with great big hearts.

We're so happy with Walter's continued improvement and hope all the love that was in that package brings more healing!

I'm so glad the marshmallows worked! Our Jasmine is the worst when it comes to taking pills, but she will eat a marshmallow no matter what is in it!

I am not kidding you - this marshmallow thing is a life-changing event. You just improved the quality of walters life, and OUR lives dramatically. there was one pill, his pain pill which was bitter and he could taste in and concoction...we ended up just having to grind it into powder, add water and squirt in his mouth to get it in...and the bitterness made his mouth foam up - it was awful and twice a day. Today we put the pill in a marshmallow, popped it in his mouth and he had no idea he'd eaten medicine. We looked around at each other like a miracle had just taken place - because it had!!

What a great parcel!
My mom looked at the bookstore for your books today, but only one was there. She decided to order them both from Amazon.ca instead. Can't wait for them to arrive!
We will try to put a link to the books in our sidebar too, is that ok?

Good idea Clover! Is that ok, Heather, if we add links to your books on our sidebars?

We are so happy that some happiness has coming to your family lately!
You and Walter needed this.
Our vet always reccomends marshmellow to hide pills in.

Hi Heather & Walter! I agree that the Indy Bloggers are the best. I got to meet them a couple of months ago and they welcomed me with open paws.

It's so good to see Walter up and about. He looked so excited to receive his gifts and who could blame him? He is such a trooper and he looks great.

I love the picture of Walter with the baby stuffed pug in his mouth! Too funny! You can tell how excited he was about the care package! Pretty cool. His progress is hard to believe!! I do think you should post an address or P.O. Box so Walters' friends can mail him goodies if they want!

We are glad Walter is doing better and the vet was proved wrong!

Walter, we got the books! Mum came home yesterday with the books. She is pug-happy about the Pretty Little Mistakes as she loves to read books with a pick your own ending. I have posted pics of me displaying the new purchases, on my blog. Your progress is remarkable, don't give up and you will keep on getting stronger everyday. I know you can and will be better soon.

Wally just got so excited! I've been so worried about him I forgot to have fun. He has all his "old" toys with him, but what fun he's having with the new ones!
