A little sunshine

Walter got a dappled sunbath today. Note the laundry basket in the corner, thats how we transport him around, there's a pillow, and blankets and pee pads inside.

The blue syringe is actually his preferred way to get water. We fill it with drinking water and let him lick it as he wants it. Sometimes he uses a bowl. This picture above is of him barking at the neighbor dog...a sound I like to hear. I like to know he still has sassafras.

He is still reluctant to use back legs. he uses front legs to drag himself around, which is hard to watch, I want to help him, but think part of the outdoor outing is to get him to strengthen his muscles.

Everybody needs a little sassafras!

Take it one day at a time, buddy.

I so look forward to Walter updates! I have come to love Walter so much in this short period of time since I learned of his injuries. I am so proud of him and feel like one of his mamas. He has so much determination, and I know he will continue to heal. I am sending tons of good karma and healing power his way! My biggest honor would be to meet him one day. I love that he is out in the sunshine today. I live in the metro area and when and if you throw a recovery party for Walter, I will be there! You have no idea how much I think about him during the day! (just ask my kids and my husband!) I lay in bed at night and pray so hard for him. XXOO walter...keep plugging away!

Sunshine always makes you feel better! Looks like he is coming right along, just take it one day at a time. Sassafras, that is a good description of a pug's demeanor!

I'm sure Walter appreciated the sunshine, getting out into the world again, even if it's just sitting on blankies. He'll get better, he has faith, I just know it!!

Walter is looking so much better and it is great to see him giving some puggy attitude! :) The laundry basket is a great idea.

Has he been able to use his back legs at all yet?

Sending love and hugs your way!
